The starting point
Treat clean, dry and ready to fill as a specific state, rather than assuming that an empty container is ready. Keep used parts apart until the care instructions have been followed.
Separate clearance from a secure connection
An outlet that reaches a bottle opening is not necessarily threaded to it, locked in place or able to stand unsupported. The supplied product layout shows a narrow lower outlet intended to direct powder into a receiving bottle. It does not provide a verified compatibility list or establish a connection to every bottle neck.
Use your actual bottle and container at home before packing them together. Product photos show an arrangement; they cannot confirm your bottle’s opening, threads, internal shoulder or support requirements.
Inspect the empty setup
Begin with clean, dry parts and the bottle on a level surface. Remove the lower cap while the storage funnel is empty. Bring the outlet to the bottle mouth without applying force. Keep a hand supporting the funnel and check the following:
| Check | What you are looking for | When to stop |
|---|---|---|
| Opening clearance | The outlet can be positioned at the mouth without being forced | The cap threads or body catch on the bottle neck |
| Alignment | Powder has a path into the bottle rather than across its rim | The outlet sits at an angle you cannot control |
| Stability | The bottle remains upright while you support the funnel | The combination tips or flexes under your hand |
| Cap access | You can manage the lower cap without losing control of the contents | Opening or replacing it requires an unstable grip |
| After transfer | The funnel can be removed and the bottle’s own lid fitted | A part becomes stuck or obstructs closure |
This is a positioning check, not a pressure, leak or performance test. A dry trial with empty parts can expose an awkward setup before powder is involved.
If you need measurements, define them carefully
Compare the bottle’s clear opening with the relevant outside dimensions of the funnel outlet. A bottle’s advertised fluid capacity, the outside width of its cap and the storage funnel’s 50 mL capacity do not provide those measurements. Do not substitute package dimensions for item dimensions.
No verified clear outlet diameter is available in this guide. If your decision depends on a tight fit, obtain the relevant dimensions from the product information or measure the actual parts appropriately. Avoid ordering around an assumed universal neck size.
Move to a controlled transfer
Once you can position and support the empty setup, follow the cap and pouring sequence. Keep the bottle on the surface and continue supporting the funnel while powder transfers. An arrangement that needs force or lets the bottle tip is a reason to change bottles or use another transfer method.
Keep hands, utensils and the preparation surface clean; the FoodSafety.gov reference supports that general hygiene step, not bottle compatibility. If your main problem is mixing after transfer, the accessory comparison helps distinguish a funnel’s role from a shaker’s.
