The starting point
Treat clean, dry and ready to fill as a specific state, rather than assuming that an empty container is ready. Keep used parts apart until the care instructions have been followed.
Build the kit around one outing
Put the powder’s original packaging beside the bottle and container you plan to take. Read the powder’s directions and decide what amount you intend to carry. Measure that amount separately, using the method stated on the label. A storage funnel holds your prepared powder; it does not decide the portion for you.
For a creatine funnel or pre workout funnel, follow the instructions for that particular powder. Do not use a protein powder’s scoop or portion as a shortcut for another supplement. If more than one person or powder shares the same packing area, identify each prepared container before it goes into a bag.
Run the five-part departure check
| Check | Ready to leave when | If it is not ready |
|---|---|---|
| Contents | You know which powder is inside and can refer to its directions | Return to the original packaging and identify it |
| Amount | The separately measured amount fits without forcing either cap | Use a larger container or a different packing arrangement |
| Container | The inside is clean and dry and both caps are fitted | Complete the cleaning reset first |
| Bottle | You have checked the opening and can support the setup | Do a bottle-fit check at home |
| Return trip | There is a place to put the used, empty container | Reserve a compartment or separate bag for used parts |
This checklist is a practical preparation aid. The stated 50 mL capacity does not establish a fixed number of grams, scoops or servings. Use the capacity guide if your planned amount is close to the container’s limit.
Carry it where you can retrieve it
After filling, check the top and bottom caps individually. Keep the container where other items will not twist the caps or crush it. The included clip offers an attachment point; inspect it before use and avoid treating it as a load-bearing carabiner. Keep the powder’s identity and directions available for the trip.

Use it, then keep used parts apart
Set the receiving bottle on a stable surface. Follow the filling and pouring sequence and close the receiving bottle before mixing according to its own instructions. If the setup needs force or becomes unstable, stop and change the arrangement.
When the container is empty, refit the caps for the return trip and keep used parts separate from the next prepared powder. At home, empty residue, wash according to the product’s care instructions and allow the parts to dry before refilling. FoodSafety.gov supports clean hands, utensils and preparation surfaces; it does not specify this container’s capacity or performance.
